2023: Hidden Gardens  Sat. June 3rd, 11.00-17.00

Entry by programme, £5 if purchased in advance from Keith Avis Newsagents or

The Idler Bookshop or £6 per adult on the day purchased from
St. Mary's Church. Children under 14 are admitted free of charge.


The gardens cover many styles and layouts and range from large through to smaller,
some old and some very new. Plenty to inspire everybody! Some gardens will be
offering refreshments and plant sales as well.


Disabled Access. The individual garden notes explain the situation at each
property. Hazards may include steps, steep/narrow/uneven paths and pea shingle.


Dogs are admitted on a lead with the garden owner’s consent.


Parking. The accompanying diagrammatic map (not to scale) shows the location
of the main public car parks. Parking may also be possible near some of the
gardens, although parking is difficult in Benton Street. (Not possible at Benton End)


Teas and refreshments. Some of the gardens also offer refreshments and plant
sales which are specified in the individual garden notes.


Toilets. These will be found at St Mary’s Church, at Magdalen Road Car Park, and
at some of the Gardens, indicated on the accompanying notes.


A full Farmers’ Market will be held in the Marketplace, run by Suffolk Market Events. There will be a number of garden related and other artisan stalls, and a several food and drink outlets.


Garden 16 (John & Maude Parry-Williams) will be showing sculpture by Peter Day in their garden.
